of National Awakening in Solo
National Revival period in which the
rise is the sense and spirit of Unity, Unity, and Nationalism and awareness to
fight for the independence of the Republic of Indonesia, which had never
appeared during the colonial Dutch and Japanese. This period was marked by two
important events, namely the founding of Boedi Oetomo (May 20, 1908) and the
pledge Pledge Youth (October 28, 1928). This period is one of the impacts of
ethical politics that began fighting since the Multatuli.

Origins of National Awakening
Political Parties in 1912 stood first Indische Partij. At this year's Hajj also
set up SI Samanhudi Islamic Trade (Solo), KH Ahmad Dahlan founded Muhammadiyah
(Yogyakarta) and Dwijo Sewoyo and his friends set up a Joint Life Insurance
Boemi Magelang.Kebangkitan Poetra in Indonesia nationalist movement was not
started from the founding of Boedi Oetomo, but diawalai with the establishment
of Trade Sarekat Islam in 1905 in Market Laweyan, Solo.Sarekat was originally
established to counter the dominance of the Chinese merchants at itu.Kemudian
movement evolved into an organization that in 1906 changed its name to the SI
Islam.
Suwardi Suryaningrat incorporated in Poetera Boemi Committee, wrote Als ik eens Nederlander was (If I were the Netherlands), July 20, 1913 a strong protest against the Dutch East Indies government's plan to celebrate 100 years of independence the Dutch in the Dutch East Indies. Because of writing this is dr. Tjipto Mangunkusumo and Suwardi Suryaningrat punished and exiled to Banda and Bangka, but because it "may choose", both exiled to Holland. There Suwardi actually learn the science of education and dr. Tjipto because of illness returned to the Dutch East Indies.
